Description:
An octagonal copper-bodied covered box decorated in painted enamel (jingtailan/guangcai-type) on a cloisonné-style ground. A word about fakes.. Qianlong-marked enamel boxes are among the most frequently reproduced categories in the Chinese art market, and genuine examples show far finer brushwork, subtle shading, and clear signs of age to the copper and enamels.
