Description:

Group of four 54mm-scale hollow-cast lead toy soldiers depicting U.S. World War I infantry: a rifleman marching, two stretcher-bearers carrying a cloth-and-rod stretcher, and a color bearer holding a furled American flag. Figures wear khaki uniforms with puttees and silver Brodie helmets, each on an oval green base. Paint is hand-applied with typical period palette. Construction, proportions and base form are consistent with interwar British makers, most closely Britains Ltd. or Johillco.
