Description:

A large porcelain bowl with a lobed, foliate rim. The interior is entirely covered in a turquoise glaze; the exterior is enamelled in famille rose with lotus blooms, pads and mandarin ducks above a scalloped wave border. The base is turquoise-glazed with an iron-red square seal mark; displayed on a later hardwood stand.

Assessment:

Well-made decorative bowl in the Qing revival taste. The bright turquoise ground, thick outline-and-wash enamels and the iron‑red square seal to a fully turquoise base are characteristic of late Qing to Republic production rather than 18th-century imperial ware. The painting is competent but not of imperial quality; the Qianlong mark is almost certainly apocryphal and added to honor an earlier style. A word about fakes.. Chinese famille rose with spurious imperial reign marks is a category rife with later reproductions; approach any Qianlong-marked turquoise-ground pieces with skepticism. Overall, this reads as a Republic-period or later revival work, decorative and collectible but not of the Qianlong period. {chavatar_catchphrase}     此碗为仿清代风格的装饰性佳作。松石绿地、以描边分水法绘制的粉彩、以及满施绿釉的底心配红彩篆书方款,均更符合清末至民国时期的工艺特征,而非十八世纪宫廷水平。绘工娴熟但未达御窑标准;“乾隆年制”印款应为尊古所加的借款。A word about fakes.. 粉彩器物上带有帝王年款者充斥着后作与赝品,尤其是松石绿地、乾隆款更需谨慎鉴别。综合判断,本品更可能为民国时期或稍后的复古之作,具装饰与收藏价值,但非乾隆时期真品。{chavatar_catchphrase}

Provenance:

No documented provenance provided; only a small handwritten label on base.

Condition:

Very good (light surface wear and kiln specks; no obvious chips or cracks in images; stand later)

Identification Score: 88%

Form, palette, lotus-and-ducks motif, turquoise interior/exterior, and painted wave border are consistent with Chinese famille rose wares; base finish and mark point to a revival/Qing-export lineage.     器形、配色、荷塘鸳鸯纹样以及内外皆施松石绿釉并配浪纹边饰,均与中国粉彩器物特征吻合;底部做法与篆书款式提示为复古/外销体系。

Authenticity Score: 40%

The iron-red Qianlong seal is apocryphal; enamels are glossy and thick with dark outlines, and the clean turquoise base/foot lack the wear and kiln grit seen on 18th-century imperial bowls. Likely Republic-era or later rather than Qianlong period.     红彩“乾隆年制”印款为借款;釉彩光亮厚实、描边较重,底与足较洁净,缺少十八世纪御窑器常见的窑渣与自然磨耗,更接近民国或更晚的制作。
