Discover this superb pair of carved mahogany hall chairs, crafted in the manner of Mayhew and Ince. These chairs feature beautifully pierced and carved mahogany backs, a shaped seat, and are supported by four elegant cabriole legs with stretchers on pad feet. Dating back to circa 1765, they were part of Lot 59 in the Samuel Messer sale at Christie's on December 5, 1991, and previously belonged to Viscountess Davenport of Peasmarch Place in East Sussex.
