Description:
A matched pair of cylindrical covered tea caddies in underglaze cobalt blue on white porcelain. Each jar shows bold tree-and-rock garden scenes in deep 'heaped and piled' blue, with a finely drawn diamond diaper (lozenge) band at the shoulder punctuated by floral rosettes. The flat covers have a small flange, with an encircling band of crossed-X geometric diaper and simple motifs on the tops. The painting is confident but slightly regularized, and the glaze is clean and even. Likely made at Jingdezhen as a Kangxi-revival decorative pair.

These appear plausibly Republic/mid-20th century and decorative.
