Well now — this is a terrific snapshot of mid-1970s comic book ambition: a run of Bronze Age Atlas Comics No. 1 issues, published circa 1974–1975 during the short-lived but fascinating Atlas/Seaboard experiment. Atlas was founded by Martin Goodman after his departure from Marvel, and for a brief, fiery moment it tried to challenge the Big Two with bold new characters — Ironjaw, The Grim Ghost, The Scorpion, The Cougar, Planet of Vampires, and more. Every one of these is a premiere issue, priced at 25 cents — with Vicki at 50 cents — and each proudly bearing the Comics Code Authority seal. These aren’t Silver Age mega-keys, but they are historically important artifacts of a publisher that burned bright and fast. The covers feature dynamic Bronze Age artwork — Ernie Colón and others — printed on classic newsprint with saddle-stapled bindings. From what we can see, the spines show minor ticks, corners have light wear, but colors remain strong and gloss is intact. Without back cover and interior shots, we can’t fully evaluate page quality or restoration. A word about copies.. Bronze Age books are often reprinted or cleaned up through undisclosed restoration. Always verify the indicia on the first interior page and check for brittle paper or trimming. Assuming these are original 1974–75 printings in Very Good to Fine condition, expect a conservative auction range of $15 to $40 per issue — perhaps $200 to $350 as a group. Facsimiles would be far lower. An 80% authenticity confidence based on visible evidence — but I’d want to see those interiors before leaping tall buildings over a grading slab. Assessment:
These appear to be original Bronze Age Atlas/Seaboard Comics No. 1 issues from 1974–75, a short-lived competitor to Marvel and DC. Atlas comics are collectible for their historical significance rather than key first appearances. Condition appears generally Very Good to Fine based on visible spine integrity, moderate corner wear, and clean color. Back covers and interiors are not shown, so full grading cannot be confirmed.

Paper tone, cover price (25¢/50¢), Comics Code seal, and correct issue data align with known 1974–75 Atlas publications. However, interiors and indicia pages are not shown, so reprint or facsimile status cannot be fully ruled out. A word about copies.. Bronze Age comics are frequently reprinted and occasionally restored; Atlas titles are less commonly faked than Golden Age keys, but verification via indicia and page quality is essential.
