Meet the stunning Chinese Yongzheng Style Famille Rose Gilt Dragon Bottle Vases, presented as a striking pair. With globular bodies and tall, slender necks, they conjure images of opulence and imperial splendor. Truly, they are the epitome of aesthetic grandeur, reminiscent of the storied Qing dynasty's ceramic arts. These vases echo the charm of the Yongzheng era, a period renowned for its porcelain mastery. They bear the mark of the Yongzheng reign — inscribed with care, yet a product of modern hands. A testament to replication rather than origin, they embody a historical narrative reshaped for contemporary allure. Crafted from pristine white porcelain adorned with famille rose enamels, their surfaces are a riot of energetic hues. The gilt dragons that spiral across these vessels display exquisite detailing. Despite the undeniable skill in their execution, they betray no signatures of age — no wear or kiln marks grace this modern porcelain. Observing their condition, one appreciates their immaculate preservation. Free from chips, cracks, or repairs, their surfaces gleam with an almost too-perfect finish. Such flawlessness is an indicator of modern manufacture, cloaking their true vintage in the glamour of the past. With an authenticity score of merely 15%, these vases stand as fine representations of the art of deception. An estimated value of $300 to $800 suggests decorative charm, but not historical provenance. They serve as a reminder — in the world of antiques, all that glitters is not gold, though it may be painted so. And thus, etched in cultural memory, they remain.

Description:
A pair of bottle-form vases with globular bodies and tall, slender necks, finely decorated in famille rose enamels with coiled gilt dragons among clouds and fire motifs. The vases exhibit bright polychrome and gilt decoration on porcelain, standing on slightly splayed blue-enamelled bases. Each base bears a well-painted six-character underglaze blue mark reading '大清雍正年制' (Made in the Yongzheng period of the Great Qing Dynasty). The design and palette follow the imperial taste of the early 18th century; however, the color, condition, and perfection of these vases strongly suggest modern manufacture.

Assessment:
A word about fakes... The pair of vases is a finely executed modern reproduction in the manner of imperial Yongzheng famille rose ware. The flawless white porcelain, excessively vibrant enamels, thick gilt, and the too-perfect six-character reign marks on both vases set off several Red Flags. Authentic 18th-century vases of this style would show subtle age signs, enamel softening, and often, less-perfect reign marks. Imperially-inscribed pairs in this pristine state would fetch millions, but modern examples like these are common in decorative markets. Despite their decorative beauty and technical skill, these vases hold only minor collector value. FAKER FLAG #6 (spurious Qianlong/Yongzheng mark) and FAKER FLAG #1 (estimate discrepancy, should one be present) are both at play here. And that's etched in Jade..! And that's etched in Jade..!

The form, decorative motifs, color palette, and reign mark are all well-known features of Yongzheng period imperial porcelain, and the type is well-documented. The iconography of dragons amid clouds with famille rose enamels is very specific to this Qing subgenre.
Authenticity Score: 15%
Multiple indicators strongly suggest these are modern reproductions: perfect condition, bright and homogenous enamels, flawless reign marks, lack of any age wear, and absence of any kiln grit or firing flaws. Genuine Yongzheng vases would exhibit some patina, period-specific faults, or softer brushwork. These appear to be 21st-century products likely intended for the collector or decorative market.
Image Memory Note
A pair of nearly identical bulbous bottle vases with tall necks. Surface enameled with coiled gold dragons chasing flaming pearls amid multicolored clouds. The palette is bright, outlines crisp, and gilt very rich. The footrings are countersunk and finished with luxurious blue enamel borders. The bases show underglaze blue six-character marks reading '大清雍正年制', painted inside double circles, both almost identical in execution. No visible damage, chips, cracks, surface scratches, or restoration. No signs of wear or firing flaws. Highly consistent decoration and mark placement across both vases. No collector stickers, labels, or old repairs visible.
